KIDNEY CYSTS

Cysts are non-cancerous, round fluid-filled pouches that may affect the functioning of the kidneys. There may be the formation of one or more cysts. In case there are many cysts formed, the condition is known as polycystic kidney disease. Symptoms of kidney cysts include mild constant pain in the lower back area, upper abdominal pain, and fever. Risk factors and causes of kidney cysts include lifestyle choices and progressive age. At our centre, the condition is diagnosed with the help of imaging tests like CT scan or kidney imaging tests. Treatment for kidney cysts includes either draining the fluid out of the cyst by puncturing it or removing the cyst with the help of minimal invasive surgeries.
